How to claim $NTRN Airdrop: A Step-by-Step Guide

How to claim $NTRN Airdrop: A Step-by-Step Guide

Powered by Tendermint and built with the Cosmos SDK, Neutron is a highly secure, permissionless smart contract platform for Interchain DeFi. Neutron empowers developers to launch smart contracts and provides tools for seamless interoperability with other protocols and appchains.

Neutron is offering an airdrop to stakers who have staked a minimum of 1 $ATOM on November 19th, 2022, and have voted on Cosmos Proposal 72, regardless of their vote (Yes/No/Abstain/No with Veto). If you are unsure whether you have received the airdrop or have issues with claiming it, we have prepared a detailed guide to walk you through the process.

  1. Visit the Neutron Token Generation Event Page at https://launch.neutron.org/ and accept the terms and conditions.
    1

  2. Click on [Connect Wallet] located on the right-hand side of the webpage.
    2

  3. Accept the terms and conditions again and select your preferred wallet to use. In this demonstration, we will be using Keplr. Click on the Keplr icon, and a window will pop up. Click [Approve].
    3

  4. You will be able to see how many $NTRN tokens you have received. Congratulations if you have received them! You can proceed to the next step.
    4

  5. If you try to click on the [CLAIM] button, you won't be able to claim the airdrop just yet, as there are a few more steps to go through.5

  6. In the Keplr wallet, change the menu at the top to "Neutron" and copy your wallet address that starts with "neutron1".
    6

  7. Go to [Settings] and enable Developer Mode.
    7

  8. Change the menu at the top to "Cosmos", and you will see the option for IBC Transfer. Click on [Transfer].
    8

  9. Click on "Destination Chain" and then click [New IBC Transfer Channel].
    9

  10. The Add IBC channel page will appear. Select "Neutron" as the Destination Chain and enter "channel-569" as the channel ID. Click [Save].
    10

  11. Select "Neutron" as the Destination Chain, input the wallet address you copied in Step 6 as the Recipient, and click [Next].
    11

  12. You will need to perform an IBC Transfer of some $ATOM tokens. Input the appropriate amount (we suggest 0.003 to 0.004 so that you can also use them to facilitate the airdrop claim in Step 16) and click [Submit].
    12

  13. Click [Approve] to approve this IBC Transfer.
    13

  14. You can check the transaction on Big Dipper.
    14

  15. Go back to the Neutron webpage and click [CLAIM]. Now you can initiate the airdrop claim process. However, you won't be able to facilitate the claim using $NTRN tokens as gas fee. Click [Advanced] in Keplr to continue.
    15

  16. Instead of using $NTRN, you can change the Fee Token to $ATOM and proceed with claiming the airdrop. Click [Approve] to continue.
    16

  17. A "SUCCESS" message will appear, indicating that you have successfully claimed your airdrop.
    17

  18. You will also see the message "Airdrop balance has been claimed".
    18

However, you won't be able to access the actual tokens just yet, as the airdropped tokens are vested over a period of 3 months after the end of the Launch Event. If you wish to unlock the airdropped tokens faster, you can participate in the lockdrop. More details will be available on May 31, 2023, at 18:00 on the LOCKDROP https://launch.neutron.org/lockdrop
