Big Dipper for Akash can support all $AKT transactions with Ledger (hardware wallet). Here is a simple guide to walk you through the process.
Preparation
Before getting started, please note that there is no Akash App on Ledger hardware wallet, however, in order to manage your $AKT, you will need to install the Cosmos App on your Ledger. The Cosmos App can be downloaded via Ledger Live. Please make sure you have the most up-to-date version of the Cosmos App installed in your Ledger. Once this is done, please head over to Big Dipper for Akash site.
Log in
When you are on the Big Dipper for Akash site, press the “Key” button. There will be two popup windows to prompt you to connect your Ledger and go into the Cosmos App on Ledger. If you don’t see the popups, please check if you have allowed popup windows on this site.
Account dashboard
After logged in, you can see your $AKT account dashboard as above. Please note that the Ledger Cosmos App only supports one AKT account per Ledger.
On the dashboard, you could perform transactions including “transfer”-send $AKT, “withdraw”-claim staking rewards. Just hit the associated button to go through the process. The last step will be confirming the transaction on your Ledger.
Delegate/Staking
To delegate/stake AKT, please go to the “Validator” tab first, go through the validator list and choose the one you’d like to stake with.
On the specific page of the validator of your choice, press the “delegate” button. There will be a popup window to ask for your delegated amount. Please input the needed information.
Once you fill out the form and hit “next”, this popup will show up. If all is correct, hit “sign” and confirm the transaction on your Ledger. Then you are all set!
** For other validator related transactions, such as undelegate and redelegate, you would also need to go to a specific delegator’s page to start the process, similar to delegate/staking.
